I agree, a glove does wonders when sitting in a baseball stadium. Seemingly, "ack" is a universal word for "rats, if I'd only have brought my catchers mitt". This phrase was also uttered at a minor league field in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee a mere 3 weeks ago when a similar incident occured as my 15 year old and I watched a foul ball sail over our heads as well. We also missed the catch, but neither of us remained in our seats. Ack.

UrbanDictionary.com gives three definitions of "ack."

1. a human onomatopoeic(sound)word to describe frustration or disgust.

2. In the TCP protocol, the receiving computer sends an ACK (acknowledgment) to the sending computer. This is basically how a connection is established.

3. A sexual sound made by penguins when reaching orgasmic crescendo.

I was going for the first definition. :)
