		<description>I sympathize with your gripe and suspect most readers gloss over these. But a working journalist who just wrote two for 2007, I have to say it&#039;s a good exercise in stepping back and assessing relatively recent events a bit. Sort of a second draft of history, as it were.

But you&#039;re right, they&#039;re overdone and cliche. The worst are the ones written too early. The cutoff for PopPhoto&#039;s best camera of 2007 competition couldn&#039;t include what I think might have won it, the Nikon D3 released in November.</description>
